The Story of GSM

This organisation was created by a group of Sydney based designers studying at the University of Technology Sydney.

As they got to the pointy end of their degrees and began to venture out into the big bad world of manufacturing and design they realised how hard it was to find the time to travel all around the state of NSW to locate someone who could fabricate their hair-brained products. Finally they decided to sniff out some manufacturers a little closer to home and what they discovered was truly inspired.

The companies they uncovered are the hidden gems of inner Sydney, found only after some extensive digging and pestering of their owners, all of whom are more than happy to work with designers to create amazing and truly home-grown products.

Ever since then the team at GSM have been helping Sydney realise its design potential without ever leaving the heart of the biggest city in Australia.
